About Me, My Past and Present

Born in NZ, yes on a sheep farm. Actually it was also a cattle farm too and we had milk cows, horses, pigs, shepherds, a cookhouse, a school with two teachers (my mother was a teacher there), workshop/garage, bulldozers, trucks, machinery etc. The fencer used a helicopter to drop posts way way way out the back (usually that was the furthest point away from the main Station settlement. In NZ terms, this farm of 15,000 acres was big, but here in Australia that's a hobby farm.

This is a picture of our house on a cold winters day. It had 6 bedrooms with polished wooden floors that you could slide on (taking a run up wearing socks, from the kitchen to land on the slippery wooden floors kept me happy till it got carpeted). The kitchen (I lie not) was so big we would play hide and seek in there. There was a lot of lawn surrounding the house including a tennis court and an orchard. As a child, all this soft grass was awesome for cricket, or anything fun like that tbh.

I started my first job in Auckland as a Maritime Radio Officer. Since then I've met, married and traveled. At the moment you'll find me (us I should say) living in a small rural service town about 220km North of Adelaide. Barely any stress out here and the internet speed is awesome for what we get.

So my life has been simple in its beginnings; although I've added angst and other stresses along the way, it's all good!
